What do you mean by "pear package maintenance"? Helping here and there,
without focus on special packages?
If that's the case, it'd be great if you would help reducing the
enormous amount of reported bugs in PEAR. Just pick a package, check
if it has bug (-> http://pear.php.net/bugs/stats.php) and try to
verify them (if you can reproduce them). If you understand the code, try
to fix the bug and attach a patch at the bug tracker.
