Thanks.  I do usually work in svn repositories on this level, as  
sometimes it's more useful to have all the branches for copying/moving/ 
reference etc.  For my uses of PHP I probably won't need this either,  
but while I agree it may not be necessary (and perhaps not always  
wanted due to size), I'm not sure if other people will want to work  
this way or not if they touch a lot more branches and/or tags. (?).
