Hi Call, 1. We use social networks (linkedin, google+, Facebook group, google groups, twitter and meetup.com) also we've been doing some event with the local MongoDB UG and we want to do it with other groups. 2. For us eventbrite is a life saver, app for check-in, event invitations with mailchimp, event registration, event registration banner for website, API to retrieve attendees for prize raffle. Lots of stuff that helps us running the meetups. The meetup.com here in Portugal does not have so much effect on people, at the begin I saw more people joining in the group but they did not came to the meetups so I guess Facebook works better than meetup.com. Ok, so let's talk promoting PUGs. 1: What have you done to promote your PUG? Social Media? Visiting Other Groups? Contacting Schools/Universities? 2: What one thing worked best for you? Why do you think it worked so well? Cheers! =C= -- *Read this book* before you hire a developer to build your website. *Avoiding a Goat Rodeo* <http://avoidingagoatrodeo.com>
