Meetup.com & Custom Domain changes

My Co-Organizer, David and I inherited MemphisPHP last year and it has
always used a custom domain (memphisphp.org) to point to our meetup.compage (
meetup.com/memphisphp). Not long ago Meetup.com changed how their custom
domain feature worked and now all custom domains forward to
meetup.cominstead of staying on the custom domain.

I was wondering how everyone else that is using Meetup.com is handling
this. Did this affect you at all? I think I'm leaning towards putting our
base domain on a CMS and then using the Meetup.com API to pull in events.
