One employer's encouragingly persistent candidate is another's
annoyingly stalking one. How hard should one go after these things?
Depends on how badly you want the job & how well you think that this
kind of thing will go over with them.

No, the SMTP error was clear, the address is invalid and the problem is
not on your end. This isn't your problem[1], or anything that anyone
outside that company can fix.
