Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and talented UI designer to
design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. The ideal
candidate will have experience working in agile teams. You will be able to
make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience
journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction. Works individually and
within teams to analyze needs, determine requirements, develop applications
& UIs, and maintain or extend applications to support the information
technology of business and operational users. Though user interface work
will be a primary focus, the position will also require the ability to take
on regular software engineering tasks.


Responsibilities:
Analyzes
end-user needs and designs, tests, and develops interfaces & software to
satisfy demand.
Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style
guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas
using any of these methods
Analyzes and translates business requirements in
functional and non-functional system requirements Develops, implements, and
maintains systems that conform to company’s information technology
principles, software development methodology, architecture and best
practices
Partner with infrastructure and architectural heads to ensure the
application meets service level standards and roadmap requirements.
Act as
a liaison between software engineers and architecture.
Design and develop
software components to enable manageability, serviceability, deployment and
purpose-built solution offerings
Be proactive in software
design/architecture, working closely with architects and software engineers
to come up with the right solution to the problem
Be an active participant
and lead code reviews
Keep up to date with the latest developments in the
software field
Act as a technical lead for one or more projects, providing
oversight and guidance on technical issues and design issues and mentor
junior team members.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or international
equivalent OR equivalent work experience
Expert knowledge of software
development lifecycle methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
Advanced understanding of importance of coding standards and programming
style
Expert knowledge of relational databases
Expert knowledge of business
and system process flow techniques
Excellent communication skills (written
and verbal)
Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate at
multiple levels of the organization including senior executive level
Expert
Object-Oriented programming skills and knowledge of one or more OOP
languages (Java and Perl are a plus)
Expert ability to write software code
(full stack development)
Expert ability to designing graphical user
interfaces using graphical design tools
Experience in a modern JavaScript
framework such as Angular, React, or Vue
Experience setting up a frontend
project from the ground up
Experience with the bootstrap CSS framework
A
strong portfolio demonstrating UI design skills
Hands-on experience
creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
Expert
ability to translate business requirements into system functional and
nonfunctional requirements
Expert ability to design software solutions.
To
qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United
States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for
employment visa status.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Perl
Experience with the d3.js library in creating reusable custom graphs in a
business intelligence or dashboard setting
8 years of relevant experience
