Summary:
iVenue.com, a rapidly growing web hosting company, is seeking a full-time
web developer to join our dynamic engineering team. iVenue.com provides a
complete turnkey web design, hosting and ecommerce solution to small to
mid-size businesses. We are a profitable, privately held company in
business since 1998. 

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, maintain and optimize secure, scalable web applications.

• Assist with localization of English software version for specific
countries/regions.

Required skills:
• 3-5 years of experience developing software applications using
technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Perl/Mason/Template::Toolkit, PHP, JSP
and/or Spring/Hibernate.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Apache and MySQL/Postgres.
• Comfortable with both object-oriented and procedural programming
methodologies. 
• Highly motivated individual who is able to work both independently and
with a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements.

Desired skills:
• Knowledge of indexes, table normalization and database design a plus.
• Working knowledge of Subversion, CVS, BitKeeper or other version control
system a plus.
• Knowledge of CSS and Javascript a plus.
