Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Perl Developer will be expected to:

•	  Help with large backlog of maintenance and enhancement
initiatives to clear the plate for a redesign
•	  Work with Business Analyst to create technical specifications for
re-write of applications
•	  Participate in full life cycle development including testing and
documentation
•	  Resolve issue logs 


Required skills:
Qualifications	
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

•	  Perl (object oriented), 5+ years 
•	  mod_perl 
•	  SQL, 5+ years (preferably in a PostgreSQL or Oracle environment) 

•	  Advanced object oriented methodologies, 5+ Years 
•	  Experience maintaining large systems 
•	  Exposure to some sort of persistence or abstraction layer 
•	  OTHER SKILLS: Mason (v1.0.6), Template:Toolkit, XML, PostgreSQL,
Oracle (Data Warehouse), ETL work, Some secondary language (C/C++, Java,
Python, Ruby, etc.), Experience with school operations, especially in the
areas of enrollment, scheduling and attendance 
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent
work experience)
Certifications, Licenses and Additional Requirements  
None required.
Travel
Occasional travel to NYC – corporate office

Strong Communication skills, Experience with school operations
