I wrote a server that little generative music programs connect to. The bpms are synchronised and control messages between humans and processes are passed. It's all pure Perl (apart from a GUI) and works very nicely. I've been experimenting with polyrhythms a lot. The output of one is here: http://lurk.org/tmp/min0.mp3 I think that's something like 30,000 bpm. Perl is fast. Main stumbling block: RSI :( Out of interest, has anyone here used csound? Experiences? I'm just about to start reading the csound book. Alex -- signature buzz: [email protected]
